30 YEARS OF MAKING MOVIES

Founded in 1996, Makig Movies is one of Finland’s longest-standing independent film companies, known for bold storytelling and international ambition. Our films move between arthouse sensibility and wide audience appeal, combining artistic vision with strong cinematic craft across feature films, documentaries, series and short films.

With acclaimed titles such as The Fencer (2015), Little Wing (2016), and My Sailor, My Love (2022), our work has screened at major festivals including Venice, Berlinale, Toronto, Sundance and Tribeca Film Festival. Recent productions like Heavier Trip (2024) and the upcoming Blue Baby (Directed by Klaus Härö, 2026) continue to expand our international reach.

Making Movies also pioneers in developing game projects based on our film IP.
