SANDS OF SARASVATI AT WAVES FILM BAZAAR IN GOA

The upcoming feature film Sands of Sarasvati was prominently featured at Waves Film Bazaar in Goa, held alongside the Goa Film Festival. Making Movies’ Producer and Innovation Lead Pauliina Piipponen participated in the event, which brought together industry professionals from across the globe for meaningful and insightful exchanges on storytelling, innovation and future co-productions.

Presented in collaboration with our co-producer Rakasree Basu and Momentum Films, Sands of Sarasvati served as a central case study in discussions around deepening Finnish-Indian ties in film, AV and transmedia. The project reflects a growing interest in large-scale, culturally resonant collaboration between the two countries.

Alongside Alisha Hasan (Helsinki Film Lab), Vesa Jutila and Return Entertainment, Making Movies explored new avenues for creative partnerships and cross-border storytelling, with a shared ambition to build sustainable long-term cooperation.

Warm thanks go to SEPC, the Consulate General of Finland in Mumbai, EARS X India, and panel moderator Dr. Abhay Kumar Sinha (Services Export Promotion Council) for their support, dialogue and engagement throughout the week.

Stay tuned for more updates as Sands of Sarasvati continues its development journey and international collaborations deepen!
