Heikki Nousiainen awarded for the best actor in a leading role in the film One Last Deal (Tuntematon mestari)

The jury of the Scottsdale International Film Festival in Arizona has selected Heikki Nousiainen as ”the best actor in a leading role” for his performance in One Last Deal. The jury consisted of members of the Phoenix Film Critics Society.

One Last Deal is directed by Klaus Härö, written by Anna Heinämaa and produced by Making Movies. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018. The film has since screened at numerous festivals around the world and it has won awards in Coronado and in Washington.

Nousiainen has been noted for his role many times before, but this was his first award for his performance in this role. The festival informed about the award on their Social media accounts on November 5th.

Because of coronavirus, The Scottsdale IFF was held virtually for the first time in it’s 19 year history. This year, films had been selected from 15 different countries and a total of more than 50 full-length movies. One last deal was the only Finnish film in Scottsdale this year.
