The beginning of the end is a two-part drama series about finding yourself. Nella, 30, is a Finnish, half Laplander business woman living in Brussels. Because of her assignment, she has to travel to her birthplace in Lapland.

Father took Nella away from Lapland when she was a little girl. She has studied abroad and settled in Brussels, where she works as an assistant of a Finnish Member of the European Parliament.

Nella gets an assignment from Brussels and she has to travel to her birthplace Lapland. She’s very unwilling to go there. Because of her assignment, she gets involved with her Lappish mother’s relatives and sees the first time what it’s like to live in Lapland. Nella finds her roots. But as she travels to her past she must face those dilemmas caused by living in tough North.

In Lapland Nella understands life and the complexity of moral conclusions.
